  3. THIS DISK is not Freeware, it is Share ware, a try before you buy ideal
  4. which relies on the honesty of the user to pay a registration fee to
  5. the author if he keeps and uses a shareware program like this.

  7. This dos based program will also work in Windows 95 environment.
  8. Place it in the A:drive and 95 will give it two icons.

  11. practice only a copying fee can be charged.

  15. TROUBLE SHOOTING ... if you have NO mouse on screen you can use
  16. TAB/ENTER.  Pressing Tab moves you to each button or window in 
  17. sequence. A fine hard to see dotted line will surround each item when
  18. Tab activates it. When this happens press enter. The button will then 
  19. turn a page, activate sound and/or text, or allow you to scroll text
  20. in a window. 
  21. If you do not have Sound Blaster or a compatible sound card then you 
  22. may not get sound, for which reason 'sounds' have been kept to a minimum.
  23. Also sound uses a lot of memory and not everyone has 'lots of available' 
  24. hard disk space.
  25.   * I have included splay.exe on the disk which may help with your sound
  26.   problems. Copy it into the same directory (AUSSYWHO or whatever).. O.K.

  29. TO START THIS electronic  book, change into the drive and directory you 
  30. created and into which you de-archived the data from the disk you have
  31. purchased. Simply type WHO at the C:>\AUSSYWHO prompt. (provided you
  32. called your new directory AUSSYWHO).

  42. AUSTRALIAN TALES, Myths and Legends Volume 1 (the full disk) contains 
  43. nine aboriginal stories, not just three or four.  There is also a certain 
  44. amount of scientific story telling, gleaned from encyclopedias etc. 
  45. eg. the Creation of Planet Earth and Tanzia and its split into Gondwana Land
  46. and subsequently Australia, or comments from my own observations (read Author
  47. Note page 1). This 'book' contains some sound for amusement of young
  48. children. A Sound Card would be an advantage but is not essential to the 
  49. stories.
  50. Dos based, vga, mouse or keys, buttons etc. suitable 5yrs upward if older 
  51. person reads the story. There are pictures on nearly every page, all fifty 
  52. odd of them.  This is a 'proper book' not just a few pages.  It is shareware.

  92. not just fairy stories. They are also in many ways a history of an ancient 
  93. land and the aboriginal inhabitants who never developed a written language
  94. of any type and who never built a temple or a city or a permanent dwelling.
  95. Consequently all 'history' until the coming of the 'white' settlers was by
  96. means of stories, learned and passed to younger generations for thousands
